Born in a Japanese American Internment camp, Kyoshi Kuromiya worked in the Civil Rights Movement and was an anti-Vietnam War activist. He was one of the founders of The Gay Liberation Front - Philadelphia and a leading organizer in ACT UP Philadelphia.
