Author Nicholas Hardy Walter was also a member of Spies for Peace, a clandestine group that burglarized a secret government bunker in 1963, exposing secret British plans to control resources and maintain law and order in the aftermath of nuclear war. Walter and others were never captured, and his involvement wasn’t made public until long after his March, 2000 death.
