Ray Luc Levasseur is a Vietnam veteran, a former organiser for Vietnam Veterans Against The War, and revolutionary. He has been a political prisoner since 1984, accused of membership in the Sam Melville/Jonathan Jackson unit and United Freedom Front. These were revolutionary anti-imperialist organisations that carried out actions in the 1970s and 80s against apartheid in South Africa, U.S. intervention in Central America and to support Puerto Rico's independence. He was released from prison in 2004.
